Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Delivery Associate will be loading spirits beverages onto a handcart and hand delivering to accounts throughout the Metro Detroit area. Other duties include but not limited to:

Medical Equipment Technicians (MET) are required to deliver all home medical equipment for the position. If an MET has a restriction, they will be paced in an open position that can accommodate the restriction, provided there is an open position available and the employee meets the qualifications for the position. Frequently required to push or pull objects, including but not limited to, oxygen tanks, hydraulic lifts, and wheelchairs, weighing from 20 lbs. - 100 lbs. through various surfaces using dollies or carts.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to pass the Department of Transportation physical.

Essential responsibilities include:
Make assigned stops and pick up or deliver orders for customers
Relay requests or complaints received from customers upon return.
Obey all traffic regulations. Maintain a current valid driver's license.
Make only assigned, scheduled stops as designated by Dispatch.
Check the condition of the assigned vehicle daily
Maintain professionalism at all times.
Maintain communications with dispatch via two-way cellular phone
Protect from damage or loss of all customer orders and originals in your possession.
Plan the delivery routes in a .logical order of stops
Review deliveries for accuracy. Compare to customer invoice.
Operate company vehicle in a safe, responsible manner
Load and unload deliveries
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Assist Production as time permits
Must have a clean driving record. (DMV required)
Willing to work reasonable overtime when needed to meet customer demands and shop goals.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.on a consistent basis

About the Role:
The
Delivery Driver role
is a crucial part of achieving our mission of making healthy food more accessible for everyone. You'll deliver food to our wholesale retail partners and Smart Fridges. Your job is to own your route by making sure that deliveries are sent to the correct address, during the correct time window, and ensuring our customers are getting the best possible delivery experience. You will be the face of Farmer's Fridge when making deliveries so it is crucial that you have a positive and professional attitude.
Drivers safely and efficiently maneuver city streets in a company-owned refrigerated van, deliver food to customers, fridges, and retail partners, and then use an iPad or cell phone to communicate completed deliveries
Success will be measured by consistent on-time deliveries and your ability to follow our delivery processes
You'll be the only Farmer's Fridge employee that people see so you must be friendly and knowledgeable
Necessary knowledge, skills, and experience:
Professional driving particularly with food shipment using a refrigerated vehicle (Preferred)
Ability to use technology: Gmail, Slack, cell phone apps
Some knowledge of mechanics (minor repairs to vans or smart fridges)
Ability to read and understand delivery instructions
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Non-CDL Driver
