Drives bus or other revenue service vehicle to transport customers over specified routes to local points according to a time schedule. Part-Time Bus Driver
Alvin, TX
This is a Part-Time Bus Driver Pool for available assignments during the academic year.
Must be flexible with the ability to work days, nights, and/or weekends with the understanding that available hours will be based on the needs of the College and may be called with little to no prior notice.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and/or weekends.
May require travel to our main campus in Alvin and/or to various offsite locations, including local high schools in Alvin, Danbury, Manvel and Pearland and to Texas Department of Criminal Justice facilities in Richmond, Rosharon or Lake Jackson.
Requires the provision of official transcripts, licensure and/or certifications within (30) days of hire.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Ensure safe and orderly transportation of students; operate school bus that transports students and other authorized personnel to and from the college or other designated locations.
Operate the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
Cooperate with supervisory staff in basic checkouts and emergency procedures
Report verbally and in required reports all accidents, vehicle damage, injuries, and mechanical failures
Check vehicle for mechanical defects and notify supervisor of needed repairs
Participate as an effective team member who contributes to college, department, and content goals
Demonstrate integrity and ethics
Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities
Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings
Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor
Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers
Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal)
Evacuate Students in the event of an accident/emergency

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Texas CDL (Class B) with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement
At least one (1) year of school bus driving experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must Pass Required DOT Physical/Drug Screening
Must be at least 18 years of age
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Possess a good driving record
Ability to evacuate students in the event of an accident/emergency
