POSITION SPECIFICS
The Alumni Relations and Stewardship Officer works closely with the Development Office within an assigned college or campus and is responsible for the oversight and management of the alumni relations and/or stewardship program for that assigned college or unit; provides oversight and management for marketing and communications efforts, special events, and programming related to alumni relations and/or stewardship program; identifies, recruits, and manages alumni volunteers to serve on boards and committees.
* Facilitate the development and implementation of all aspects of the alumni relations and/or stewardship program for assigned college or campus
* Engage in marketing and communications efforts related to alumni relations/stewardship program; may include writing for print and on-line publications
* Participate in the strategic and long-range planning for new initiatives and programs designed to enhance the alumni relations and/or stewardship activities of assigned college or campus
* Work collaboratively with partners to maximize stewardship and alumni relations success for the University
* Work to engage University partners and community in alumni relations and stewardship activities
* Communicate stewardship objectives and the associated responsibilities to unit director and other internal and external leaders
* Plan and coordinate the nomination and selection process for various alumni association and/or scholarship awards
* Coordinate endowment management efforts, serve as the stewardship liaison between the individual units and participate in the strategic planning process for eSteward, stewardship, and endowment related inquiries
* May hire, supervise, train, and direct the work of assigned staff
* Preferred but not required experience with SIMBA and LionPath

The DHS Engineering Audit Officer (EAO) reports directly to the Deputy Commissioner of OAS & OQA. The EAO serves as a consultant engineer assessing the technical results of complex operating systems, and related engineering requirements to evaluate the contract services provided to approximately 65 DHS facilities. The DHS EAO must complete their comprehensive review expeditiously on capital improvement projects of DHS shelters, as this may involve a temporary rehousing of clients while construction and/or maintenance work is underway, to ensure clients are safely housed. All compliance and invoice review of capital improvement projects, which includes tens of millions of dollars in expenditures, and the final review of invoices before payment are under the sole purview of the EAO.
The Audit & Quality Assurance Executive Office is recruiting for (1) Administrative Engineer M III to function as a(n) DHS Engineering Audit Officer, who will:
- Be accountable for verifying and monitoring the contractual services performed under DHS maintenance and repair contracts (generally non-capital funding), such as elevators, wheelchair lifts, computer rooms, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as monitor contract services for fire alarms and other building services. These audits include conducting site visits for the purpose of inspecting covered facilities and determining technical/contractual compliance with specifications and applicable engineering standards, as well as a review of contract scope and work time, including labor costs. Provide oversight and final approval for audits of payment invoices for maintenance and repair contracts.
- Conduct highly complex field audits and extremely technical desk audits which include the review of design documents provided by consultant firms; review of specifications, materials installed, prevailing NYC labor rates and material costs. Provide oversight and final approval on various audits on capital payment vouchers for DHS capital construction projects.
- Design and implement an audit program that will expedite reviewing contractor's invoices submitted by DHS capital project group head and project managers for payment approval.
- Prepare audit documentation including memos, analysis, and draft audit reports detailing audit findings and recommendations, which may include the review of plans, drawings, specifications, field records, analysis of prices, and contractor's reports.
- Attend Chief Audit Engineer's monthly joint agency EAO meetings to discuss EAO related issues and share technical knowledge for problem resolution.
- Interpret and apply NYC Comptroller's Directive 7 and other guidelines regarding inspection and investigation, to determine the need for additional payment or change orders to complete construction projects.

Work Environment
Intelligence Specialists serve on large ships, with aircraft squadrons and at various intelligence production centers located in the U.S. or overseas, generally dividing time equally between assignments ashore and afloat. The work is mostly analytical, as it supports the Navy's intelligence mission on all fronts. Typically, duties are performed in an office or watch environment and involve working closely with others, though the capability to operate without supervision is also required.
Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes (known as Boot Camp), you'll report for specialized training, including:
Class "A" Technical School (13 weeks) in Dam Neck, VA, for training in fundamentals of intelligence administration, maps and charts, operational intelligence, briefing, basic computer software operating skills to include typing tests and other basic skills required for the rating.
After you've completed training, you may be assigned to all large ships, aircraft squadrons, staffs, intelligence facilities and Joint Commands in the United States and overseas. As an IS, you can expect approximately 50% of your assignments to take place at sea.
Promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.
Advanced Training

Part-Time Opportunities
There are part-time opportunities available as an Intelligence Specialist.
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Intelligence Specialists in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
For annual training, Intelligence Specialists may serve anywhere in the world, whether on a ship at sea or at bases and installations on shore.

Annual Giving & Strategic Engagement
Serve as the team's lead for overall donor communications using digital and traditional platforms.
Create and manage an annual written plan and calendar for all annual giving solicitations to the assigned populations (physical and digital), designed to meet departmental goals and address university priorities.
Responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding the assigned donor pool of alumni, parents, friends, faculty, and staff giving for annual giving campaigns and appeals.
Create copy and design for all annual campaign appeals and communications to increase support and awareness of funding needs and priorities of the University.
Collaborate on any related special events for donor cultivation and stewardship (may require occasional travel to CCU's Lakewood campus or other locales).
Create and manage the annual CCU Gives Day, a digital campaign to raise funds for various funding priorities. This involves weekly meetings with the platform vendor and working with faculty and staff partners to develop funding projects, write copy, secure photographs, and develop donor lists for the platform.
Coordinate all appeals with the Major Gifts team to ensure annual donors are appropriately identified and qualified for pipeline movement.
Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to develop annual giving plans, themes, crowdfunding platforms, and other elements as needed.
University Advancement
Collaborate closely with the Director of Annual Giving and Strategic Engagement to develop key performance indicators (KPIs), marketing strategies, funding objectives, and donor engagement initiatives. Support the creation of comprehensive stewardship plans designed to deepen donor relationships and encourage increased investment in the university.
Work collaboratively with the Major Gifts team by identifying and qualifying annual giving relationships and donors with major gift potential by creating clear next steps and a seamless donor experience for them to move to the Major Gifts team.
Coordinate with Advancement Services to ensure appropriate digital receipting and correspondence related to all donor gifts and accurate appeal/campaign reports for internal reporting.
Collaborate with the Donor Services Manager to utilize Raiser's Edge in creating emails and solicitations, crafting reports, and adhering to both industry and internal best practices and procedures for data mining and updating records.
Collaborate across university departments, faculty, and staff to glean stories, funding needs, and institutional knowledge.
Participate in staff meetings to collaborate on departmental goals, strategies, and tactics.
May be assigned additional projects or duties by the supervisor and/or the Vice President of University Advancement.
Digital Engagement
Build strong ties with the assigned donor pool and young alumni through a variety of activities, including dedicated events, volunteer opportunities, communications, and collaboration with other departments.
Manage the fundraising plan through all available digital platforms employed by Advancement, including but not limited to social media, career networking platforms, crowdfunding platforms, and Raiser's Edge.
Manage all social media creation and postings for alumni, including but not limited to CCU SyncedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
