Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing, maintaining HRIS records, and conducting regular payroll audits. Recommend corrective actions as needed.
Annual Payroll Processes: Administer recurring payroll-related tasks, such as reporting personal use of company vehicles, and other required annual processes.
Quarterly and Year-End Reporting: Prepare and reconcile quarterly 941 forms, manage year-end reporting (W-2s, ACA), and compile data for 401k census and workers' compensation audits.
Monthly Reporting: Generate and ensure timely submission of monthly reports, including KPIs for HR and Finance.
Benefits Administration: Assist in managing health and welfare benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and deduction processing.
Employee Support: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing prompt and professional assistance, especially concerning payroll and benefits.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate the full onboarding process, including coordinating with various departments, preparing materials, and leading benefits orientations. Oversee offboarding to ensure smooth transitions.
Compliance & Documentation: Manage background checks, I-9 verification, and maintain accurate employee files. Ensure strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee data.
Additional Support: Assist with performance review preparation, recruiting efforts, and other administrative functions as needed.
Clerical Functions: Perform general clerical tasks, including preparing correspondence and maintaining organized employee records.
Must-Have Qualifications:

What Will You Do?
You will be responsible for the HR needs of the supported business units and the implementation of best practices to support the achievement of corporate business objectives. You will get to dive into the heart of HR and assist with employee and labor relations, performance management, policy implementation, coaching and mentoring, and onboarding. The HR Generalist must be able to build relationships and establish credibility with employees from the wide range of departments comprising the corporate office. Must be able to recognize and effectively adapt to changes in practices, protocols, and preferences from department to department.
• Assist with and/or conduct thorough investigations regarding routine employee relations matters, safety and performance issues, harassment, and other behavior that may be a violation of Company policy. Review results with supervisor and HR Management and make recommendations on course of action. Approve relevant post-accident drug tests. Assist the supervisor and/or HR Management with the corrective action and/or termination process, following all relevant SOP's. Work with management to coach and discipline employees and resolve employee, team or business issues.
• Conduct employee feedback meetings and participate in management updates. Assist with making changes that improve the working environment and overall employee relations. Maintain employee feedback documents.
• Coach supervisors and employees regarding routine employee relations matters. Assist with communicating changes to employees that affect the business, and support supervisors with counseling and difficult discussions as necessary.
• Assist in the development, administration and ongoing monitoring of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). Work with supervisors to ensure clear objectives, consistent approach and regular follow up. Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results.
• Compile and maintain reports from the database. Assist in the evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
• Facilitate Company training as directed by HR Management and/or the business. Training may include but is not limited to: New Employee Orientation, Union Avoidance, Sevant Leadership, Harassment Training and other Company-required training. Ensure employees required to attend training sessions are present. Conduct additional training with new hires after start date to ensure understanding of company policies.

The Resource Family Trainer is responsible for implementing the contracted resource and adoptive parent pre-service training curriculum and completing the home study in partnership with the Division of Children and Family Services. The Resource Family Trainer will be trained and certified in the contracted resource and adoptive parent training program and the contracted home study model. The person in this position is responsible for the delivery of the contracted training curriculum and home study model to prospective resource and adoptive participants referred to the program for training. This position has regular contact with University personnel, DCFS staff and other public agencies, community professionals, and the general public. This position requires extensive in-state travel and work outside normal office hours. This full-time, annually renewed grant-funded position is directly responsible to the Resource Family Program Director. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Social Work OR Master's degree in any field;
* Two (2) years of professional experience working with children and families.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
* Experience in writing home assessments, psychosocial histories, training in curriculum development and training delivery, trainer/instructor preferred;
* Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, with appropriate professional licensure preferred, e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC;

Training Management:
* Will receive training and certification in the contracted resource and adoptive parent training program model and the contracted home study model;

* Notify of the appropriate DCFS Area Directors, Area Resource Workers, and Adoption Specialists of any resource parent pre-service being offered to prospective resource/adoptive parents;
* Participate in the delivery of the contracted pre-service orientation training bi-yearly for approved DCFS staff and community providers.
Assessment Management:
* Conduct the contracted home study model on prospective resource and adoptive homes in accordance with the criteria set out in the Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies, Standards for Approval of Resource and Adoptive Homes, and the contracted home study model protocols;
* Conduct both of the minimally required visits with the applicants in the applicants' home;
* Provide original contracted home study model elements (e.g., completed home study report template, questionnaires, psychosocial rating sheets, etc.) to DCFS at the completion of the home study;
* Submit a completed home study final report to DCFS within forty-five (45) business days of the applicants completing the pre-service training session that serves as the home study referral point as agreed upon by DCFS.
Program Management:
* Receive weekly supervision and problem-solve issues that may arise;
* Communicate with program participants (phone, email, mail) between sessions, as needed;
* Complete program documentation and monthly reporting requirements;
* Attend required monthly and quarterly meetings with Area Resource staff to provide ongoing feedback regarding training needs, problem-solving, and technical assistance;
* Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Nurse Extern delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the Nurse Extern assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the Nurse Extern's skills/training and the needs of the Department and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The Nurse Extern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.

Preferred Education: 1+ years of nursing school completed, or as mandated by state of practice
Required Experience: None
Preferred Experience: 1 + years of experience in an acute care setting
Required License: Current NC NA registry
