Responsibilities
Meet or exceed location revenue goals and other KPIs: Manage the front and back of shop from vehicle intake through delivery to ensure a high level of shop throughput, production quality and efficiency, such that the location meets or surpasses KPIs
Labor assignment and production management: Responsible for assigning repair jobs to Body Technicians and prioritizing vehicles for teardown or paint
Teammate support: Support teammates during peak times by receiving customers, checking-in vehicles and writing estimates as needed
Monitor and attain production goals and standards: Ensure all repairs are in line with Crash Champions and I-Car quality standards, all repairs are billed accurately and correctly, and back of shop PPE protocol is upheld for teammate safety
Complete shop payroll and staffing in a timely manner: Ensure production staff adheres to punch-in/out guidelines and flag-hour procedures for weekly payroll processing and manage staff PTO, vacation, or leave
Manage daily production flow: Communicate with team (Body Technicians, Collision Estimator, Parts Managers) to ensure production is moving as needed to meet delivery requirements
Write DRP complaint estimates (as needed): Write complete estimates after full disassembly and damage discovery, update CE's estimates as needed, and lock final estimates
Team acquisition, coaching and development: Responsible for understanding all teammate position requirements, interviewing, and hiring the best candidates for roles based on skills and experience, and providing individual teammate performance coaching, feedback, and support for growth/progression opportunities
Qualifications
Knowledge of Collision Industry including high-level knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements for a variety of carriers
Aptitude in decision-making and problem solving
Ability to lead and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve successful results
Proficient knowledge and use of estimating software, CCC ONE Total Repair Software

Render is seeking a highly experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and support Software Support Activity (SSA) initiatives as part of our dynamic and mission-driven team supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC). This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective sustainment and modernization of mission-critical software systems across multiple integrated product teams (IPTs) and supports hybrid work in California, Maryland. The SME will provide strategic leadership, technical guidance, and authoritative expertise to ensure software sustainment efforts align with program goals, cybersecurity mandates, and DoD lifecycle management directives.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical lead and principal advisor to government stakeholders on software sustainment planning, execution, and modernization across complex systems.
Oversee corrective, adaptive, and preventive maintenance activities, ensuring synchronization across multiple fielded systems and environments.
Lead the development and maintenance of sustainment documentation, including Software Support Plans (SSPs), Configuration Management Plans (CMPs), and Lifecycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs).
Provide guidance and review of software change packages, engineering change proposals (ECPs), and technical refresh strategies to ensure mission readiness.
Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition and cybersecurity policies, including DoDI 5000.87, 5000.91, and 8510.01.
Drive implementation of modernization initiatives such as DevSecOps practices, cloud migration strategies, and the sunsetting of legacy systems.
Support and represent sustainment priorities during formal program reviews, audits, and milestone events.
Oversee metrics development, performance dashboards, and reporting for sustainment efforts, supporting executive decision-making and contract evaluation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system integrators, cybersecurity personnel, test teams, and end-users, to drive effective and prioritized sustainment actions.
Apply deep subject matter expertise to solve complex technical and operational challenges requiring doctoral-level insight or equivalent experience.
Prepare and deliver high-level technical reports, presentations, briefings, and training materials as required.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a related technical field preferred.
At least 12 years of experience in software sustainment, lifecycle management, or related defense programs.
Demonstrated expertise in software configuration management, risk mitigation, and sustainment best practices within DoD environments.
Deep understanding of DoD acquisition and cybersecurity frameworks.
Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder efforts, synthesize technical input, and advise on strategic sustainment decisions.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with government leaders and contractor teams.
Must possess an active DoD security clearance.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)
Experience with software sustainment funding structures, budgeting, and cost analysis
Experience supporting NAVAIR , SPAWAR, or USMC programs.
Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, ITIL Expert, or SAFe Agilist
Familiarity with Agile/DevSecOps pipelines and software factory sustainment models
