The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Mayo Clinic is seeking an exceptional principal investigator in the field of Head and Neck Cancer Diseases.
The ideal candidate will be an outstanding scholar with a record of exceptional achievement and demonstrated ability to for successful collaborations. The ideal candidate will be a mid-career Ph.D trained basic scientist with a track record of substantial extramural funding including NIH or NIH-equivalent funding.
To align with our Head and Neck Disease Group (DG) priority of bringing cutting edge discoveries to our patients through advanced clinical trials, we are seeking a translational scientist with expertise in biomarkers of Head and Neck cancer/pre-cancer, immuno-oncology, cellular engineering in head and neck cancer, genetics, virology, and/or cancer vaccine development. We seek to identify an early to mid-career investigator who would collaborate with our DG multi-disciplinary team, would be able to serve as a mentor to promote junior faculty development and grant writing, and would provide much needed insight and internal know how to advance the science of head and neck cancer at Mayo Clinic.

Otolaryngology at Mayo Clinic is ranked 4th in the U.S. News & World Report. Our department is actively engaged in multidisciplinary partnerships across the institution. Clinically we have several highly functioning multidisciplinary clinics and teams which are able to accrue patients effectively and rapidly to prospective clinical trials with significant experience in a wide range of sample collection and rapid processing. We have four full time clinical research coordinators within our department, relationships with two biostatisticians to support our research efforts, and strong relationships with the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center for clinical trial activation. As a high-volume surgical team, we have access to both significant archival and fresh tissue from a wide range of tumor types. We are actively investigating tumor microenvironments, methylation markers, circulating tumor DNA, machine learning algorithms to analyze digitized histology, tumor microenvironments, and imaging modalities.

Responsibilities
This position is in technical charge and responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of basement utility equipment but is subordinate to the Operator. Must have at least a Minnesota Special Engineer License. Individual will assist the Operator or Boiler Operator in time of need. Individual will not leave the basement or first floor area without permission of the Operator. Individual will make minor repairs and adjustments to auxiliary equipment. May leave the premises on plant business for short periods of time when assigned by Operator. Individual will perform related duties as assigned.
Relief Assignment: The duties of Operating Unit personnel in a relief assignment will be to work shift or maintenance in any capacity necessary and to relieve members of the operating crew for vacation or illness as the need arises. The pay schedule will remain constant whether the employee works maintenance or shift relief. No replacement will be required for relief assignment employees when they are sick or on vacation.
Qualifications
High school education or equivalent. Two years vocational training in operation of high pressure boilers, turbines, generators, electrical, and auxiliary equipment required or equivalent. Must hold a valid State of Minnesota Special Engineer License, 2nd Class A, 1st Class A or Chief A Engineers License and Prefer 3 years' operating experience in a high pressure boiler plant. Extensive experience in a high pressure water tube boiler, steam turbine, and chiller plant at pressures greater than 600psig. Background in water testing and chemical handling. Minimum of one year experience with 'Windows' computer applications preferred. Must have a medical clearance to climb stairs, life up to 50 lbs., and qualify to wear a respirator. A valid driver's license is required. State of Minnesota - Special Engineer License, Second Class Grade A, First Class Grade A or Chief Grade A Engineers license. New hires that do not have an electrical license are required to have Registered Unlicensed Electrical License completed within the 90 day probationary period from start date. Franklin Heating Station will assist new employee in obtaining / achieving the Registered Unlicensed Electrical License.

The department of Radiology in Rochester, MN invites you to join the division of Breast Imaging and Intervention's clinical practice. The practice includes digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, MRI, molecular breast imaging (MBI), contrast enhanced digital mammography (CEDM), multimodality image guided biopsies, and image guided wire and seed localizations. The Division of Breast Imaging and Intervention is one of 16 divisions within the Department of Radiology and currently includes 20 breast imaging radiologists. Our clinical practice is busy, with more than 30,000 screening mammograms, 12,000 diagnostic exams, 2,000 MRIs and nearly 4000 image guided procedures performed each year. Our screening and diagnostic mammography practice is 100% tomosynthesis based. We offer screening MBI, and staff a robust referral practice for patients presenting from elsewhere with abnormal imaging or clinical exam findings. Our procedural practice offers biopsy using mammographic, ultrasound and MRI guidance, and we anticipate MBI guided procedures to be available later this year.
In addition to clinical care within Breast Imaging and Intervention, the candidate will participate within another established area of expertise in Radiology, home to nearly 200 radiologists. Many opportunities exist and the Department of Radiology will work with candidates to identify an appropriate “second home” that meets candidate desires and expectations. This model offers candidates the opportunity to develop their knowledge and expertise outside of their primary focus.

Successful completion of an NCCAOM clean needle technique course in addition to the infection control education required of all members of the medical staff;
Informed consent must be obtained from every patient prior to the initiation of acupuncture treatment.
Quality Improvement activities will include but not be limited to regular review of the developed treatment plans, observation of procedural skills, and follow up of patient outcomes. All QI activities will be consistent with Mayo Foundation policies reported to CIM team.

A Vice Chair ensures their organization, and themselves personally, achieve the outcomes as defined by the CIO/CDO. As an enterprise leader, the Vice Chair has a scope of operations with all Mayo Clinic business entities. The Vice Chair is accountable for ensuring that the functions/operations of their area meet site and other Mayo business entity strategic objectives while keeping Mayo Clinic mission and values at the forefront. They develop organizational structures and processes to ensure convergence and efficient operations of assigned activities. The Vice Chair is accountable for ensuring the most effective and efficient enterprise technology services, strategies, plans, technologies, processes, standards, and skills. The Vice Chair coordinates support activities with site leadership, Mayo business entity leaders, and corresponding administrative functions. They may also work closely with physician and administrative partners to develop strategies and tactics required to meet organizational objectives. The Vice Chair will collaborate closely with the other leaders in the technology organization. They coordinate with the Chief Information Security Officer to ensure the implementation of security and privacy policies. The Vice Chair is responsible for the development of operating expense and capital budgets within the guidelines of the organization's overall goals and objectives. They may also partner closely with other organizations and vendors, and manage those relationships at the highest level, to ensure to meet Mayo's vision. They also monitor organizational performance related to such budgets and support the CDO/CIO in assuring the organization operates in a cost-effective manner.
The Vice Chair carries out responsibilities assigned by the CDO/CIO and acts on their behalf in their absence to ensure continuity of all organizational operations, in accordance with the prescribed standards, philosophy, and policies.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in technology, health care administration or related field; a minimum of ten years of significant leadership and management experience is required. Leadership and management experience must include working with physicians and allied health staff in a variety of assignments. Must have demonstrated competencies in leadership, management, operations, finance, and excellent communication skills. Master's degree preferred.

The Department of Clinical Genomics at Mayo Clinic is seeking a Physician with expertise in Clinical Trials to combine clinical and research careers at Mayo. This is a position for a board-certified MD or MD/PhD candidate highly skilled in the clinical practice and in clinical trials involving genetics and genomic patients. The ideal candidate should have a broad understanding of genetics and genomics and expertise in integrating novel technologies into clinical practice. The candidate must possess clinical experience as well as proficiency directing and designing clinical trials, facilitating and promoting early feasibility and first-in-human clinical trials, providing oversight and leadership of a departmental clinical trials office, securing extramural funding, and a strong publication record.
