This position is responsible for bulk and burst sorting of incoming and outgoing mail and preparation of mail for postage. Responsible for operating postage machine, scales and other mailroom equipment and maintaining mailroom equipment to ensure proper functioning. Responsible for maintaining statistical records for departmental cost allocation and knowledge of correct postal regulations. This position is also responsible for assisting Receiving through verification, receipt and delivery of packages throughout the hospital. Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED (Required) Minimum Work Experience 2 years Experience working in a mailroom (Required) 1 year Experience in a Hospital Warehouse or storeroom location, with periodic operating of supply-moving equipment, electric or manual pallet jacks, supply carts, etc. (Preferred) Required Skills/Knowledge Knowledge of mailroom and postage related equipment/regulations Functional Accountabilities Mailroom Support * Sort and process all incoming/outgoing computer generated patient billing information accurately and in the prescribed timeframe. * Sort and process all incoming/outgoing bulk and burst mail by department, to include extended campus mail. * Prepare all outgoing mail by weighing and attaching proper postage using a mailing meter machine. Ensure that all outgoing mail is properly prepared and meets rate requirements including but not limited to registered mail, certified mail, size requirements, priority, overnight, etc. * Record and maintain postage meter readings for departmental cost allocation. * Operate postage machine and scales and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning. * Manages FedEx and USPS accounts to ensure mail is processed in most cost effective and timely manner . * Maintain adequate mail supplies including but not limited to shipping envelopes and boxes, mailing envelopes, meter tape, and shipping labels. Duties and Responsibilities: This Program Coordinator will be responsible for the management and administration of the program, the supervision of mentors and parent coaches, communication with DYRS, tracking and management of data, and coordination with the training and technical assistance provider, the evaluator, and the documentary filmmaker. The Program Coordinator should have relevant experience in the field, strong management abilities, and the maturity, wisdom, and integrity to manage Credible Messengers. The Program Coordinator at SBY will report directly to the Chief of Programs.
