Director, IT Security, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Location: choice of Skokie, IL / Arlington Heights, IL / Warrenville, IL Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Hybrid Position Some local travel to other corporate sites will be required (Arlington Heights - Skokie) Job Summary: As the Director, IT Security GRC at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for managing the solutions specific to areas of responsibility including full life cycle management, from strategic planning, deployment, and maintenance of the launch of solutions and platforms. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities with the goal of reducing manual efforts, contributing to growth of the organization, promotion of patient and user experience and creating innovative solutions with operations, fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders and vendors to align technology solutions to the goals of the system, promoting the consistent use of available tools, techniques, workflows, and platforms, budgeting, and management/administrative tasks assigned. What you will do: Comprehensive Solutions Management: Leads end-to-end activities for the assigned solutions portfolio, including planning, technical setup, building, testing, training, deployment, optimizing, and support, ensuring high-performance outcomes across teams. Strategic Relationship Management: Establishes relationships with domain leaders to understand strategic business needs and user requirements; identifies business requirements to guide specifications for ease of business operations. Governance Committee Participation: Lead or participate in governance committees to collaborate with key stakeholders about priority and workload. Cross-Functional Leadership Collaboration: Develops strong partnerships with fellow leaders and vendors across functional areas to identify synergies, collaborate effectively, and deliver seamless, efficient outcomes. Talent & Resource Management: Mentor direct reports through oversight of activities including budgets, policy enforcement, talent management, stakeholder relationships, and governance to ensure alignment with security and operational standards. Technology Adoption and Participation in Industry Groups: Remains updated on latest technologies available in the market and promotes the implementation of relevant technologies. Participates in industry related organizations, such as HIMSS, CHIME, Epic UGM / XGM, Health-ISAC, as appropriate. Operational Support & Risk Assessment Leadership: Supports business operations by leading third-party risk assessments to ensure compliance with security policies. IT Security Governance: Develop and maintain the IT security governance framework, overseeing regular risk assessments, developing and maintaining system IT security policies and leading risk mitigation initiatives to enhance the organization's security posture. Regulatory Compliance Management: Collaborate with various departments to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of operations while managing the organization's security Risk Register and regulatory compliance activities. Compliance and Security Monitoring: Monitor and report on compliance status and security incidents, providing recommendations for improvement. Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to employees. What you will need: Education: Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant related field. Or, equivalent work experience. Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in managing processes, applications, or systems in a healthcare setting or relevant related industries. Three (3) or more years of leadership experience as defined as essential to the role. Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong technical skills. Strong understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices. Ability to manage multiple complex projects with efficiency.
