Locality pay varies by duty location. A fully trained CBP Officer is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary.
Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.

Lead the preparation, presentation, and defense of monthly financial reports at Board and executive meetings
Maintain deep working knowledge of the practice's chart of accounts, journal entries, intercompany transfers, and general ledger structure to ensure both accurate financial reporting and analysis of these reports
Create variance analyses and financial commentary, explaining month-over-month or year-over-year changes (including “same store”) in revenue, expenses, and EBITDA.
Oversee all functions of revenue cycle including coding, billing, collections, and denial management
Identify underperforming cost centers or margin pressure and recommend corrective strategies
Own the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads, setting targets, and tracking performance via financial and operational analytics
Build, maintain, and grow internal reporting systems (via business intelligence platforms) that allow real-time access to financial and operational metrics
Act as the strategic financial voice of the organization, using data to guide investment decisions, cost-savings initiatives, and pricing strategy
Data, Reporting & Decision Support
Own the organization's Business Intelligence (BI) infrastructure, including oversight of DOMO dashboards, ETL flows, and underlying data architecture
Build and maintain real-time executive dashboards tracking KPIs across revenue, expenses, provider productivity, patient flow, and operational efficiency
Personally develop and troubleshoot ETL pipelines and data transformations
Translate raw data into actionable insights, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for intervention across clinical and administrative workflows
Serve as the lead data strategist
Design and implement self-service data tools for department heads and frontline managers to make informed decisions without reliance on IT or analysts
Integrate data from EHRs, PM systems, financial software (Intacct), and p atient experience tools into unified reporting environments (dashboards)
Lead monthly and ad hoc data reviews with the CEO, Physician Owners, and department leaders to track progress and course-correct as needed
Compliance, Legal, and Risk Management
Oversee organization-wide compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, CLIA and Stark Law
Lead internal audits, documentation reviews, and compliance readiness assessment to proactively prevent violations and/or regulatory penalties
Serve as the front-line liaison for malpractice coverage, including managing incident reporting processes, coordinating with insurers and legal counsel, and overseeing documentation integrity
Participate directly in the legal review, drafting, and negotiation of provider contracts, working with external legal teams to structure agreements aligned with regulatory and financial objectives
Review and advise on vendor agreements, partnership deals, payer contracts, and lease obligations
Manage risk exposure related to billing practices, credentialing, and licensure
Maintain and enforce the organization's internal control systems to detect fraud, financial misreporting, and/or security breaches
Prepare all necessary documentation for external regulatory audits or payer investigations, and act as the point of contact for auditors and inspectors
Technology & System Optimization
Oversee implementation of financial, billing, scheduling, and EHR systems
Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
Coordinate IT projects with cybersecurity, uptime, and data protection objectives
Champion automation tools for both financial and operational workflows
Capital Management / Growth Initiatives
Lead financial due diligence and modeling for expansion, acquisitions, and capital projects
Assess feasibility and ROI of new locations, renovations, or technology investments
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital reserves
